Crowdfunding is a great way to get money that you don’t need to worry about paying back. However, you need to have a good amount of friends and acquaintances with time and money, since most of the money you get from this type of earning is going to come from people you know.

Make sure you follow all of the suggestions put forth by the crowdfunding site you chose to use. Make videos, post updates often, and offer rewards to people for taking their time to done money to your business.

There are grants available to small businesses as well, but you need to have the motivation to research them and find what you need. There are grants for women, for certain types of businesses, for certain minorities, and more. You can research online, or talk to someone locally in your area about grants.

Grants don’t generally need to be paid back, however, for most of them you’ll need to show something for what you’ve done with the money. That means actually using it for your business, and not for something else.

The best thing to do in order to get your business going is to have a plan. Before you even start trying to get the money it will take, have a business plan written up that includes the money you’ll need and what you’ll be needing it for.
